If you start saving money little by little but often, there are times that you won’t notice that your money is getting bigger. The more you see that your savings is increasing or rising, the more you get motivated to add more or save more.

Create a spreadsheet

If you are really willing to save money, you can create a spreadsheet for your savings. If you create a spreadsheet, you can estimate the money that you save and the exact money that you put in your bank every week or every month. You can also search for spreadsheet online that sums up all the savings for you. If you have a spreadsheet, you don’t need to sum all your savings in your head. You can also set the amount of money that you save every week or every month. For example, for the 1^st week, you need to put $10 in your bank and it increases every week. You can immediately identify the amount of money that you save for the year if you do it. Make sure that you can afford to put the money that you set for each week.

Have a goal

This is one of the best things that you need have to be motivated on saving money. Having a goal on saving money can be a great help to keep you motivated. For example, you want to buy a new phone; you will definitely put money in your bank instead of spending it on some other things. There are also times when you already have the money that you need to buy your phone, but you will forget about the reason why you save money in the first place and you’ll just continue on putting money on your bank.

Choose inexpensive hobbies

Most people spend money on buying meals or other stuffs to treat themselves after a long day of hard work. Think of other things that can remove your stress or boost your mood without spending so much money. You can organise some fun things to do in your house with your friends or family. Sometimes people spend money when they are bored or lonely. You can watch a movie with your friends or family or buy some ingredients at the market and try cooking a meal that you never cooked before. There are lots of things you can do to entertain yourself or ending up the day without spending money.

Reading finance blogs can also motivate you to save money. You can get some tips and good financial habits on reading finance blogs. It is really interesting to know the lives of other people and see what they are doing to save money. You can also create your own finance blog and share some of your own tips and advice with other people. Creating your own finance blog will not only help you connect with other people that have the same way of thinking as you, but it will also motivate you to continue putting or saving money on your bank so that you can feel proud when you share how good you are doing with other people.

Look for support

If you really have a problem on saving money and you think you need an advice, don’t feel embarrassed to look for support from other people. For example, your company sells sandwich, you can tell your team that your company’s purpose is to make the best sandwich in your region. Knowing that you have a competitor will definitely keep you motivated because you want to beat them.

Be fair

You also need to be fair. Favouritism is not allowed on a team. Don’t allow your personal likes and dislikes affect your leadership. For example, there are some in your team who are not productive. You shouldn’t be one sided and shouldn’t always give your attention only to the members that are productive. You also need to motivate and talk to others. Always remember that you are a team. If you just give your time on some members, other will definitely be lazy on working.

Don’t be angry on small things

In order to make your team members respect you, you also need to respect them. Don’t be angry on small stuffs. If your team members made a mistake, you need to ask them calmly about their reason or the problem. For example, one of your team members is late, don’t shout or get mad. Ask him/her why he/she is late and tell him/her that you expect him/her to be on time the next day. Always remember that your team members are human beings that have weaknesses and strengths. They are not machines.

Set rewards

You can also give rewards to every team member that performed well for the year or month. That strategy will definitely keep your team motivated and perform with their fullest. You need to set a condition before they gain the reward. For example, you will give reward to the employee who will have no lates or absences for the month. Employees are working to earn money for their living. They will surely be happy if they gain additional rewards.

Be friendly

Yes! As a leader, you need to be kind and friendly on your team members. Your team will definitely hate you or get scared of you if you are always angry or very strict. All you need to do is talk calmly, tell your team that they can ask freely if they don’t know a certain thing about the company, or talk directly to you if they have concerns. Sometimes, the attitude of the team reflects on the leader. If you are friendly, you will gain respect on your team.

Talk about the problem

You also need to talk about the problems about your team or about their performance. Talk to the employees who are not doing well or are doing wrong. You need to correct them and give them some tips on how to improve their performance or how to do it right. You also need to talk to the employees who are doing great. Praising them will help them maintain their good performance. When an employee continues on doing wrong things, it is your power to terminate him/her.
